PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation)
PESO is India's regulatory authority for the safe handling, storage, and transport of explosives, petroleum, and compressed gases, including licensing requirements relevant to hazardous-area operations at oil and gas facilities. Any technology - drone or otherwise - operating in or near a PESO-licensed hazardous area is subject to that facility's safety requirements; a vendor should always be asked directly what PESO-relevant approvals or exemptions apply to their specific operating context, since general drone regulation and hazardous-area explosives regulation are separate regimes.
